We are looking for a confident and friendly person to join our team as Communications Assistant. We need you to have a good understanding of how to organise and publicise events as well as excellent writing skills. Experience of using design software would be useful but not essential as we’ll teach you what you’ll need to know; a willingness to learn is the most important thing.
You will need to be a team player and be confident talking to staff and stakeholders at all levels. You will be providing administrative support to the team so you must be well organised and good at managing competing demands.
This position is ideal for someone looking to develop a wider communications skillset and understand the impact of communications activities. You will have the opportunity to use all the communications channels, including social media, publications and events, to explain the challenges and opportunities facing London local government.
