Salary starts at £17,110 to £17,650 per annum rising to £19,200 per annum based upon performance

Joining us as Housing Management Worker (known internally by us a Housing Management Worker – Level 2), you’ll have a really important role in ensuring our service achieves maximum occupancy.
You will be part of a small but brilliant team who provide support to customers over the age of 55 and to those with extra care needs and learning disabilities.
You will be working in a new scheme established in 2015 in Wigton, Cumbria. Fairview Court has 42 self-contained flats with a mixture of one and two bedrooms and benefits from two communal lounges; where you will encourage and assist customers to hold the social events they wish to see.  You will also work closely with the on-site care team Mears to upkeep the excellent joint working relationship established to ensure all our customers are supported in all their needs.
As a housing management worker you’ll provide tenancy and housing support in many different ways which will include, effectively managing voids, inspecting properties on a daily basis to identify maintenance issues and carrying out health and safety checks.  Undertaking referral assessments of clients, enforcing tenancy conditions and collecting rent and service charges too; you’ll be committed to ensuring our properties are maintained up to hotel standards and are ready for occupancy so that people who need our help to change their lives can move in quickly.

A bit about you
We want someone like you, with the passion and motivation for helping vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives.  To flourish in the role, you’ll have a great knowledge of rental management, rent payments and arrears gained through your previous experience working within residential supported housing or care setting.  You’ll be great at managing your own time, working on your own initiative, have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to positively influence people from all different backgrounds.  We’ll be really impressed with your practical understanding of risk assessments, safeguarding, and confidentiality.  It’s also important to us that you have the compassion and empathy to work with vulnerable people and we do need you to have great IT skills too.
You will work Monday to Friday 8:30am til 4:30pm.
 
If you are successful, we need you to have an Enhanced Disclosure Check through the Disclosure and Barring Service which we’ll pay for.
